Viking strap-end. Circa, 11th century AD. Copper-alloy, 63mm x 20mm, 17.2g. A tongue-shaped open-work strap fitting, detailed around the frame with raised square nodules. The centre is divided in to seven panels by a central rib and three cross-bars.
